Main Office

Meet our friendly office staff

Brainard's Main Office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on school days. When you come into our office, you will be greeted by our friendly staff, School Administrative Assistant Maria Solano, and Office Technician Elizabeth Virgen, who will assist you with any school business.


Enrollments are taken from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Either Ms. Solano or Ms. Virgen can assist you and will request you have the necessary paperwork with you at the time of enrollment, including a proof of residence such as a utility bill as well as your identification and birth certificate and immunization record for your child. Your child must also be present at the time of enrollment.


Ms. Virgen can assist you with any special education needs as well.


If you would like to make an appointment or leave a message for your teacher or other staff member, please fill out a "blue slip," briefly stating your question as well as your contact information and the appropriate person will contact you within 24 hours.


Parents are welcome to come onto campus when dropping off their child from 7:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. and sign in at the gate, and are asked to leave campus when the teachers arrive to walk their children to class.


Parents who need to conference with their child's teacher are asked to schedule a conference with the teacher so the teacher can begin his/her instruction as quickly as possible. Parents who want to visit their child's classroom are asked to request an appointment for a visitation date and time from the office staff and principal after entering the Main office. Appointments may be scheduled for the same day, if possible, and a visitor must sign in and wear a visitor's pass. come to the office first to sign in to ensure it is a convenient time for the teacher. A visitor's stay is generally limited to 20 minutes to avoid any disruption to the instructional program.


Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom and complete a volunteer application and have a current TB test. Applications are available online at or completed with the assistance of our Community Representative Anabel Franco from 8 a.m to 10:30 a.m.
